Community Forest Resource Survey Phase II: Greater Project Development Area (GPDA) Vilabouly district, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR

ABSTRACTED FROM THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Non Timber Forest Products (NTFP’s) are collected from a large variety of sources and the study adopted a broad definition of NTFP’s that also included non-forest areas such as fallow land, riparian zones, mining areas, cultivated areas etc. This is the third report in the Community Forest Resources Survey Project with comprehensive analyses of collection areas, value, access, and use of NTFP’s in the villages in the GPDA area. The research team was composed of ESL staff, two international associates, and associates from National University of Laos.
